How to tie a Halyard Bend
Halyard Bend Instructions
- Form an overhand knot in the end of one rope.
- Pass the end of the second rope through the loop of the overhand knot.
- Take the second rope around the back of the first rope and tuck it under itself, then under the first rope.
Halyard Bend Common Uses
The Halyard Bend is used to join two ropes of different diameters, commonly used in halyards on sailboats.
