Fisherman’s Bend Instructions

  1. Form an overhand knot in the end of one rope.
  2. Pass the end of the second rope through the loop of the overhand knot.
  3. Take the second rope around the back of the first rope and tuck it under itself, then under the first rope.

Fisherman’s Bend Common Uses

The Fisherman’s Bend is a secure and reliable way to join two ropes together. It is commonly used for splicing fishing lines or joining two halyards on a sailboat.
